Dear Hope View Families,

As you may be aware, Channel 5 News was on our campus this morning to inquire about concerns raised regarding our modernization project. Some parents have questions if we are taking all necessary precautions to protect our students and staff. In working with our District staff, our project managers, and our certified abatement teams, I can assure you that all necessary and appropriate precautions are being taken.

In August , we completed the first phase of asbestos abatement; before students returned.  Each of our schools is inspected for asbestos every 6 months by an independent and certified inspection company. This independent contractor generates a report for each site which is available for your review in the principal’s office.

Our students’ health and well-being is our District’s number one concern. If you would like to hear more about the modernization project, please come to a Community Listening Session On Thursday, October 2 @ Marine View @ 5:00 PM so that you may still attend Mesa View’s BTSN.

Thank you for your important questions and voicing your concerns.
